Lucy is a well respected Physiotherapist with over 12 years specialist musculoskeletal experience working with people prior to completing her training in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
After graduating from the University of Southampton, Lucy went on to spend over 12 years working for the NHS as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist as well as managing and developing Physiotherapy services. Alongside her NHS work Lucy has worked privately with Rugby Clubs, Horse Riders, Runner and various other sports people as well as being involved in the teaching of Physiotherapy students at the university of Winchester. Lucy has post graduate training in diagnostics, rheumatological conditions and orthopaedics, manual therapies, exercise therapy and hand therapy.
Lucy completed her Veterinary Physiotherapy training at Hartpury University and is accredited with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) to provide the highest standard of veterinary physiotherapy with training in manual therapy, electrotherapies and exercise rehabilitation. Lucy has decided to stay on at Hartpury after completing her qualification the complete the final year of MSc and this project is currently ongoing.
As a competitor in both equine and canine sports, Lucy has a special interest in treating these animals. Lucy has competed with horses in eventing, dressage and showing and enjoys working with both horse and rider as a partnership. She is also competes with her own dogs in Flyball, Canicross/Sled dog sports and Agility so is fully aware of the demands on our canine athletes and has extensive knowledge to support prevntion and recovery from injury for our canine and equine athletes.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys spending time with her young family, dogs and chickens, exploring the countryside.
